This renovation was undertaken mainly for architectural reasons. Major investments in the surrounding area had left this office building looking unattractive to potential new tenants. The building’s outdated style contrasted particularly with neighboring buildings. For these reasons, the owner decided it was time to renovate. The principle challenge concerning the renovation consisted in choosing the right construction options, notably those materials capable of rendering the building highly attractive. The building’s eight stories meant that renovation work would have to take place at high elevations, representing diverse constraints. Indeed, ensuring continuous deliveries of building materials was essential due to the lack of on-site storage space. What’s more, this was a new experience for the project team. The final result is, in the context of the Lithuanian market, one of the first successful renovations of a building of this size and category.
