ISOVER provides insulation solutions for the conversion of an apartment/office building to a city library. The orginal structure was built in 1862, which presented a challenge in renovating it to be a library capable of hosting over 11,000 local library goers.
This project involved the conversion of an old apartment and office building, built in 1862, into a modern municipal library for the 11,000 inhabitants of the small town of Diez. This was the first large public project to be managed independently throughout all phases of work. The objective of the work was to open up the building and provide more space, with by far the biggest challenge being to reduce the energy consumption of the existing building.
