Saint-Gobain ISOVER G+H (Germany) participated in the construction of the Lillien carré shopping and administrative center, located in Wiesbaden. ISOVER supplied 15,000 m² of stone wool ceiling board, 30,000 m² of glass wool sound deadening felt for partitions, 4,000 m² of facade slab and 5,300 m² Styrodur foam for foundation insulation. The Lillien carré center consists of 26,000 m² of stores and restaurants as well as 6,000 m² intended for offices. Its originality lies in its glass and steel dome covering the shopping center.
"The multi-functional Lilien Carre is to be erected on the site of the former Wiesbaden Central Post Office and in direct proximity to the historical Main Railway Station. An oval two-storey shopping centre with about 20.000m2 of retail, service and restaurant areas forms the core of the ensemble. A hotel with a two-part high-rise element forms the dominant urban figure. The adjoining office park consists of five buildings placed opposite each other that will be accessed by a specially made new road." www.ortner.at
