This year edition task, developed by Saint-Gobain ISOVER in close cooperation with the Department of Architecture of National Company “Astana EXPO-2017”, required participants to design a residential building located in the perimeter of the post exhibition residential expansion of International Astana EXPO 2017.

Each of the 51 student teams, from 20 countries and representing 30 different nationalities, had the opportunity to present their design and ideas to the jury and other participants as well as to friends and colleagues watching them online as the event was webcast live.
At the end of all presentations, each team was asked to vote for the best project in their opinion, inaugurating this way the Students Prize that was awarded for the first time this year.
