Advocating for energy-efficient buildings

ISOVER has adopted a proactive approach to raise awareness of the energy related issues in the building sector among both policy makers and the public.
We advocate for change and for placing the issue of energy-efficient constructions and renovations at the centre of the public policies. Our many initiatives include public advocacy and campaigning.
For instance, at EU level, in Brussels, we actively deliver our contributions through the following associations:

Eurima
Eurima – www.eurima.eu - Eurima is the European Insulation Manufacturers Association and represents the interests of all major mineral wool producers throughout Europe. Eurima and its members are committed to delivering buildings with better energy efficiency.
Euroace
EuroAce - www.euroace.org - EuroACE, the European Alliance of Companies for Energy Efficiency in Buildings, works to promote energy efficiency in buildings in all relevant EU policies. EuroACE was formed by Europe’s leading companies involved with the manufacture, distribution and installation of a variety of energy saving goods and services.
Renovate europe
Renovate Europe – www.renovate-europe.eu - Renovate Europe is a political communications campaign with the ambition to reduce the energy demand of the EU building stock by 80% by 2050 compared to 2005 levels through legislation and ambitious renovation programmes.
eiif
EEIF – www.eiif.org - EEIF is the European Industrial Insulation Foundation (EiiF) is a European non-profit foundation which has been set up to promote and establish the use of industrial insulation as a widely understood and accepted means of driving energy efficiency and sustainability across industry and some service sectors.

The Coalition for Energy Savings
Coalition for Energy Savings - http://energycoalition.eu/ - The Coalition for Energy Savings strives to make energy efficiency and savings the first consideration of energy policies and the driving force towards a secure, sustainable and competitive European Union. Its membership unites businesses, professionals, local authorities, trade unions and civil society organisations.
BPIE
BPIE – www.bpie.eu - The Buildings Performance Institute Europe (BPIE) is a not-for-profit think in the field of energy performance in buildings. BPIE focuses on policy analysis and advice and shares knowledge through studies, policy briefs, presentations and events. BPIE is promoting best practice approaches to improve the energy performance of buildings.

The ISOVER Energy Efficiency Awards aim at promoting measurable energy efficiency both in residential and non-residential buildings, for new construction or renovation. Although there is no shortage of competitions in the domain of architecture, the ISOVER Energy Efficiency Best of Awards have an important difference. Many of the most innovative ideas judged in this competition are invisible to the eye. But their impact is significant, and can be measured in energy saved and comfort gained. The goal of the awards is to encourage the trend towards structures that favour comfort and environmental respect. The competition is open to all building professionals. In launching such a competition, ISOVER calls attention to the huge potential in energy savings inherent in today’s existing park of residential buildings.
