In most European Member States a specific program operator organises the verification and publication of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for construction products. The plethora of systems is a source of confusion on the market. That is why several program operators launched the Eco-Platform initiative in June 2013: its objective is the mutual recognition of EPDs between program operators. On 16 October 2014 Eco-Platform presented in Brussels the work done since its launch. A first level of mutual recognition between the different European EPD program operators has been achieved with Eco-EPDs for which there is a mutual recognition of the verification and which are all aligned with the EN15804 standard. ISOVER Austria has been handed over one of these very first Eco-EPDs.
