Our environmental policy
More than 50% of all ISOVER factories in the world (71% for glass wool and stone wool only)are ISO 14001 certified, and we are continuously improving and controlling all environmental aspects of our production sites.
Environmental impacts of our products
For each plant facility we are developing analyses of the lifecycle of our materials to establish Environmental Product Declaration (E.P.D.). These serve as a basis on which new materials with optimized performance characteristics can be developed.
Product safety
Using ISOVER mineral wool is a safe way to save energy, heating & cooling costs. Glass and stone wool products have been used for more than 60 years. They haven proven themselves as popular and safe insulation materials and are probably the most well-documented and tested building materials.
Educating and training
In response to the challenges of global warming and energy security, we have adopted a pro-active approach to raise public awareness about reducing CO2 emissions and energy consumptions from buildings. Our many initiatives in this field include public advocacy and education aimed at public authorities, businesses and individuals.
Affordable insulation
80% of the energy bill of a home owner is due to heating costs, therefore reducing energy needs must be a priority without sacrificing comfort. In order for everybody to achieve this goal, Saint-Gobain Isover proposes insulants to consumers with the best efficiency to invested money ratio.
