Sustainability for all!The scope of the Awards includes both new build and renovation projects in the residential and non-residential sectors.
ISOVER believes that all building professionals can contribute significantly as we move into a new era of environmental consciousness.
It should be possible to divide by 4 or 5 the energy consumption for heating or cooling if buildings are deep renovated.
The advantages of a well-designed renovation don’t stop at lower energy bills and a reduction of CO2: it allows to enhance the internal environment by increasing comfort levels in our homes and workplaces.
The Energy Efficiency awards demonstrate the feasibility of ambitious projects, both architecturally and from an environmental viewpoint.
It is crucial now that we take the very low-energy building concept forward, from the experimental stage to broad application throughout the building industry - it is only by doing this that the best practices of today will become the building standards of tomorrow.
- The awards are open to both residential and non residential buildings.
- Renovation projects must cut energy consumption by at least 50% compared to pre-renovation measurements, ideally by factor 4 or 5.
- New constructions must achieve very low-energy requirements.
- The project must include ISOVER products.
