In response to the challenges of global warming and energy security, we have adopted a pro-active approach to raise public awareness about reducing CO2 emissions and energy consumptions from buildings. Our many initiatives in this field include public advocacy and education aimed at public authorities, businesses and individuals.
The ISOVER energy efficiency awards
The ISOVER Energy Efficiency Best of Awards aim at promoting measurable energy efficiency both in residential and non residential buildings, for new construction or renovation. Although there is no shortage of competitions in the domain of architecture, the ISOVER Energy Efficiency Best of Awards have an important difference. Many of the most innovative ideas judged in this competition are invisible to the eye. But their impact is significant, and can be measured in energy saved and comfort gained. The goal of the awards is to encourage the trend towards structures that favour comfort and environmental respect. The competition, taking place simultaneously in several European countries, is open to all building professionals, including architects, engineers, construction companies and investors. In launching such a broad scale competition, Saint-Gobain ISOVER calls attention to the huge potential in energy savings inherent in today’s existing park of residential buildings.
