Glossary Air infiltration

Air infiltration is the uncontrolled flow of air through cracks or gaps in the fabric of buildings. It is driven by wind pressure and temperature differences and as a result is variable, responding in particular to changes in the weather. Infiltration levels are strongly affected by both design decisions and construction quality.
